Curriculum

At Emmanuel we provide a very distinctive curriculum designed to develop you as a rounded and well-informed member of society. AS/A2 level programmes are offered in all Learning Communities, and in some areas a range of BTEC programmes complement this provision. There are some outstanding results at AS and A2 across a range of subjects. In addition to a wide range of academic and vocational pathways across all subject areas, we are committed to our Core Programme, which develops further accreditation options outside the usual subject boundaries, including the Extended Project.

Students who have narrowly missed out on Grade Cs at GCSE Maths and English can retake these programmes in small classes, focused on completing these qualifications expediently.

Community Leadership

Furthermore, our Community Leadership programme sees all Sixth Form students placed for one afternoon a week within our community developing their leadership skills in a variety of settings. Teaching in primary schools, running youth projects, supporting charities, empowering churches, assisting in Emmanuel’s KS3 lessons or supporting the school in a variety of leadership projects. The Community Leadership programme adds value to every student every time, and will give you a great additional string to your bow as you progress from Sixth Form.
