‘Into Nursing’ workshop

Following our Sixth Form rowing competition, we had the pleasure of welcoming Fran Odell, a former Sixth Form student currently studying at Salford University, back to Sixth Form to talk to students about studying Nursing at degree level. Fran’s inspirational talk also gave our students a real insight into what life is like at university, providing a first-hand account of what a day in the life of a typical student nurse is like. One of our Sixth Form students, Ella, said “It was really inspiring hearing someone else’s story of how they managed to succeed, even though they faced many barriers.  I really enjoyed listening to the presentation and I was able to take a lot from it”.
