A Level Results Day 2023

The Nottingham Emmanuel School is celebrating exceptional success as many of our students achieved fantastic grades to help them progress to some of the most prestigious Universities and Degree Apprenticeships across the country. More than 30% of grades were A*- B or equivalent across A Level and Applied Generals and a number of students achieved a full suite of A* and A grades.

Ben Lunn, who has been at the school since Year 7, achieved A*A*A*A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Spanish, far exceeding the grades required to study at The University of Bath, one of the leading institutions in the UK for studying Mathematics.

Ben  said: “The lessons and the teaching style at Emmanuel prepared me really well for my A Levels which enabled me to get the grades that I did. I am really happy and feel completely ready for and excited to study Maths at the University of Bath.”

Mabad Ul-Huassan Choudhdry, who has also been at the school since Year 7, worked remarkably hard to achieve AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics enabling him to progress on to study Chemical Engineering with Environmental Engineering at The University of Nottingham.

Mabad said: “I am so grateful to the teachers at the Nottingham Emmanuel School for helping me achieve the results I did for my A Levels. I am so looking forward to my journey at the University of Nottingham!”

Daniel Dark, The Assistant Principal in charge of KS5, stated that Ben and Mabad’s success, along with all the other individual successes we are celebrating, paves the way for future success and makes all the hard work thoroughly worth it. “We are exceptionally proud of all our students’ achievements, but especially Ben and Mabad who have achieved the very best grades in remarkably challenging circumstances. The dedication and resilience they have shown is a credit to their character and I am confident that they will continue to be successful in the future. These individual successes remind us all that no matter the students’ background, we can help them achieve their full potential at The Nottingham Emmanuel School Sixth Form.”
