Level 3
Students studying level 3 programmes of study can typically choose from one of the following pathways:

A combination of A levels alongside single award Applied General Qualifications
Please note that under certain circumstances a student can do more/less programmes than it states above.
A-level or Applied General?
A-Levels and Level 3 Applied General qualifications are both Level 3 qualifications, but they differ in their focus and approach.
With A-levels typically being a traditional, academic qualification, usually studied over the course of two years involving examinations at the end of the course.
Applied General courses are an advanced vocational qualification, often combining theoretical study with practical applications both in school and via work experience.
Both options provide a pathway to higher education, apprenticeship or a potential career start.

Our Applied General Qualification offer currently includes the following subjects (all 5 hours per week):
- BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Applied Science
- OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma in IT
- BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care
All our Level 3 study programmes exceed 580+ planned learning hours and include the following additional components in addition to students’ timetabled lessons:
